Into The Heart; A Guided Spiritual Journey toward Becoming A Better Man–Project 4

There was a time when I binge-built candle holders.  Tealights, in particular, somehow got embedded in my mind.  And once my brain locked onto them, I saw possibilities for attractive décor nearly everywhere!  Men love candles (oh, come on—we can say it out loud), and tealight holders make great gifts as well.  Armed with a drill and a two-inch Forstner bit, you can transform any piece of wood into an object of beauty.

Of course, my favorite project is always the one I just completed.  In the above photo, you see insulator tealight holders nestled in Florida cypress with Pacific sea glass.  Sounds a lot like my last restaurant order!  And the outcome is just as delightful.  Found the insulators at a yard sale for a couple of bucks each.  Friends gave me the sea glass when I left California for Florida—it fits nicely in the bottom of the upside-down insulators beneath the glass candle holders.  Nice color.  Took me only about an hour, start to finish.

Another option you might want to consider is a ladder photo display.  Such a fun project.  Not only can you enjoy the hunt for the right ladder, but you can also shoot your own pics.  I shot some of my favorite scenes in the local area.  And I tracked down the frames on Amazon—with a sharp handsaw, I had no trouble making them fit!
